Buxton Healthcare provides personal care and support to adults who live in their own homes, including supported living settings where housing is arranged separately from care. We do not provide accommodation, tenancies, rent collection, repairs, or housing management.
We work with adults (18+) who may be autistic, have a learning disability, mental health needs, physical disabilities, or a combination of needs. Whether youβre stepping down from residential care, moving on from the family home, or looking for a more independent alternative to supported housing, we can help plan a smooth transition.
Supported living separates housing from care. You choose where you live and who you live with; we provide the support you need to thrive. That can range from a few hours each week to 24/7 support, including sleep-ins or waking nights, depending on assessed need.
Your goals lead the plan. We build a personalised support plan with you (and those you choose), and review it regularly so it adapts as your independence grows.
We focus on outcomes that matter β improved wellbeing, greater choice and control, stronger daily living skills, and meaningful participation in the community.
Our staff are carefully matched to each person. They receive ongoing training in safeguarding, dignity in care, medication, autism awareness, learning disability, mental health, and de-escalation/positive behaviour support.
No. In supported living you hold your own tenancy (or share), giving you more choice and control over your home. Care and housing are arranged separately.
Your plan is reviewed regularly. Support can step up or down, including short-term increases (for example, after hospital discharge).
Where assessed and commissioned, our teams can provide dignified personal care as part of a broader independence-focused plan.
After assessment and agreement of funding, we work with you to create a safe, timely start - phased if needed to build confidence.
One-to-one support in a personβs own home, with care tailored around daily routines, safety, and independence.
Rapid, stabilising support when situations escalate. We create clear plans, coordinate professionals, and keep people safe while restoring routine and confidence.
Practical, compassionate help for families and carers. We offer guidance, respite, and tailored strategies that strengthen relationships and build independence at home.
Alice House is independently owned and managed by Cornwick. Buxton Healthcare does not provide or manage the accommodation. Where a person living at Alice House chooses or is commissioned to receive care from Buxton, that care is arranged under a separate care agreement and is subject to assessment, funding, current registration, and capacity.
Housing, tenancy, room availability, rent, repairs, and property enquiries should be directed to Cornwick. Care enquiries should be directed to Buxton Healthcare.
