Role Summary
As a Live-in Carer, you will live with the client in their home and provide round-the-clock care and companionship. You will support with personal care, medication, mobility, daily household tasks, and encourage social interaction – always promoting dignity, respect, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to clients
- Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, and continence care
- Support with medication and health monitoring
- Prepare meals and support with nutrition
- Household tasks including cleaning, laundry, and shopping
- Encourage engagement in social activities and companionship
- Liaise with healthcare professionals and families
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
Requirements
- Previous care experience desirable but not essential
- Passionate about making a difference in someone’s life
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to undergo one)
- Care Certificate or willingness to complete mandatory training
